Agbélouvé
A mission rooted in its community
Founded more than three decades ago by the Sisters of Notre Dame de l’Église, the Institute has been recognised by the Togolese State since 2009.

Our story
Rooted in Agbélouvé, looking to the future
The Bishop Joseph Strebler Technical and Vocational Institute is located in Agbélouvé, in Zio Prefecture. It offers every pupil a complete education and a path towards self-reliance.
The mission has grown into a comprehensive educational campus: nursery, primary and lower secondary schools, a technical upper secondary school, vocational training, and a general upper secondary school planned from 2026–2027.
Our location
Agbélouvé, at the heart of a farming region
About sixty kilometres north of Lomé, Agbélouvé lies in Zio Prefecture in Togo’s Maritime Region. Agriculture plays a central role in economic and family life.
The prefecture’s main crops include maize, cassava, soya, groundnuts, vegetables and pineapples. Agbélouvé market is one of the area’s local trading centres.
